This is the eighth year that Codeweavers have recruited students to complete a placement in between studies. From day one you’ll have a hands on experience, working alongside our experienced Development team to bring ideas to life, creating amazing web experiences. Best of all you get to work in a chilled out atmosphere where you’ll learn, gain experience and most importantly have fun.  

Your role will be to develop, maintain and support the company’s market­ leading motor finance services and products. Codeweavers has been developing as an Agile organisation since 2007 so you will be joining a team that employs a wide range of agile techniques including Pair and Mob Programming, TDD, Code Refactoring and Continuous Integration.

Front End Web Developers are responsible for bringing Codeweavers ideas, designs and UX to life across a range of devices creating the best experience using the technologies listed below. 

Front End Technologies:

  • JavaScript frameworks (such as angular.js, underscore.js and backbone.js)
  • Grunt 
  • PHP and ASP.NET
  • CSS and HTML
  • Service Oriented Architecture (WCF, REST)


As a Backend Software Developer, you will be developing, maintaining and supporting the company’s market-leading motor finance services and products. 

Back End Technologies:

  • C# (Visual Studio, Resharper) 
  • Web (ASP.NET, MVC)
  • Object Relational Mapping 
  • Testing (NUnit, MOQ, Selenium) 
  • Service Oriented Architecture (WCF, REST) 
  • SQL Server, Postgres and Cassandra (NoSQL) 
  • CruiseControl.NET

We're after enthusiastic, self motivated individuals who are eager to learn and integrate into our team. Ideally you will be completing a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Multimedia or Web Development based degree and enjoy building your own projects.

It's not so much about having a certain level of specific skills, we are after individuals who are flexible and willing to learn and have a range of soft skills. You will work directly with our existing development team to craft beautiful solutions. If you don’t have experience in some of the areas below, don't worry, you can learn from our experienced team of Developers who’ll be around to guide you all the way.
