Just a small one this, but we can now set the “from” address in emails sent as part of the Email Me This Quote functionality so that rather than always coming from “noreply” at Codeweavers, we can use your reply email address.

We have added another new feature to our ‘E-Mail me this Quotation’ tool.

We have added this feature in response to an issue that some customers may have with the e-mail quotation not being displayed properly in their chosen e-mail application, or for those customers who only view e-mails as ‘plain text’ only.

From now on, whenever a customer asks for a finance quotation to be e-mailed to them, there is a unique link at the top of the e-mail that allows the customer to view a complete version of the e-mail in their web browser. Viewing it in their browser will allow all images, links and information to be displayed as intended.

A nice additional benefit is that this feature is great for smartphone users – where traditionally e-mails have always looked better when viewed through a browser.

We recently mystery shopped one of our large multi-franchise clients, Marshall Motor Group, using the ‘E-Mail me this Quotation’ tool built into the dealer’s website.

Stock was chosen from several different retail site locations, and requests for various finance quotations were made.
Every quotation request made was successfully delivered to our inbox immediately, and the dealer sites were advised by e-mail of our quotation request.

We were trying to find out whether the finance leads we generated were followed up by the retail sites, and if so how long this took.

The results were extremely encouraging. In all instances the sales manager at each of the retail sites responded to our requests within four minutes. This is a first class standard of customer service.

The e-mail response to the customer was worded sensitively and politely, asking us if we were happy to discuss the finance figures in more depth, and whether the quotation was acceptable to us.

We have enhanced the Codeweavers ‘E-mail me this Quotation’ service.

It is now possible for e-mail notifications to be sent to the dealer advising them whenever a customer requests a finance quotation by e-mail.
This allows the dealer to react quickly to the customer’s interest in that vehicle.

• The dealer advice e-mail is sent to the site where the vehicle stock is situated. This is especially useful for multi-site and multi-franchise dealers.
• The dealer advice e-mail will contain a copy of the e-mail that was sent to the customer.
• The dealer advice e-mail is still sent even if the customer e-mail address has an error in it or has failed to submit correctly for some reason.
